Bit of an update on a few things that have changed over the last couple of weeks, plus something new at the end.
First, the site itself. We've rebuilt most of the screens you actually use week to week. - The dashboard is now the home base. Which games you're in, how many lives you've got left, what's coming up and what just happened, all in one place. - The picks page has been redone. The round, the deadline countdown, how many players are left and the prize fund all sit at the top, so you can see where you stand before you commit to anything. - Results and the survivor grid have had the same treatment. It's easier to follow who went out, who's still standing, and why. - The leaderboard now gives every life its own row. If you're in with more than one, you can finally track them separately, including any you've re-entered after a rollover.
None of that changes how the game works. Same rules, same fixtures, same deadlines. It just tells you more at a glance.
Now the bigger one. We've built a forum, and you're reading the first post on it.
The thinking behind it is simple enough. There's a lot of dead time in this game. You make your pick, then you wait. Meanwhile everyone has an opinion on who's got the kindest run of fixtures, who's about to drop points, and who has made an absolutely baffling decision this week. There was nowhere to have that conversation. Now there is.
Five boards to start with:
- Announcements. Official updates from us: new games, rule changes, results. Only we can start threads here, but anyone can reply. - Team Talk. Premier League chat. Form, injuries, managers, VAR, all of it. - Tips and Tactics. Survivor strategy. Who to save, when to burn a big team, how to read the fixture list. - Banter. Self explanatory. Keep it friendly. - Help and Support. Stuck on something, ask here and we'll get you sorted.
Anyone can read the forum, including people who haven't signed up. To post, reply or like something, you'll need to be logged in. You can attach images, quote someone when you reply, and like anything you think has earned it.
On email, because nobody wants a surprise inbox. If you start a thread or reply to one, we'll let you know when someone replies back. You can follow a board to hear about new threads in it. And there's a weekly round-up of the best threads on a Monday morning. Those three are separate settings, every email has a one-click unsubscribe at the bottom, and turning forum email off won't touch your round results or pick reminders.
House rules, briefly. Be civil. Banter is welcome, abuse isn't. Don't post someone else's pick before their round has locked, because picks stay hidden until the deadline for a reason and that applies here too. No spam and no tipping services. There's a Report button on every post if something needs looking at.
That's the lot. Have a dig around, and to get the ball rolling: who's got the best run of fixtures over the next three rounds, and who are you saving them for?
