Responsible participation

Responsible Participation

We designed the game so that what a competition can cost you is fixed at the moment you enter it, and cannot grow while you are playing.

How we cap participation

You decide how many entries to buy when you join a competition, up to a maximum of 10. The full cost is shown before you pay.

Once a competition is under way there are no in-game purchases. You cannot buy extra lives, top up, or repurchase an entry that has been eliminated.

Each competition therefore has a known maximum spend, fixed at the point of entry. We believe this encourages responsible participation by capping outlay and rewarding football knowledge and strategy.

What this means in practice

No chasing losses within a competition

When your last entry in a competition is eliminated, that competition is over for you. There is no mechanism — paid or otherwise — to return to it. You cannot spend your way back into a game you have already lost.

Rollovers are a new competition, not a re-entry

If every entry in a competition is eliminated in the same round, that competition ends and the prize fund carries forward into a new competition. Entering the new competition is a separate, optional purchase with its price shown up front. It is not a re-entry into a competition you have already lost, and nobody is entered automatically.

A free route to play

We run a free-to-enter competition alongside the paid games. It uses the same rules and the same platform, so you can play the format for as long as you like without spending anything.

Age and eligibility

You must be 18 or over to hold an account or enter any competition, including the free game. We collect your date of birth when you sign up and check it every time you join a competition or submit a pick, so an account below the minimum age cannot play. We may also ask for proof of age and identity before paying a prize. Accounts found to belong to someone under 18 are closed and entry fees returned.

Staying in control

  • Your account dashboard shows every entry you have bought and what it cost.
  • You are never charged automatically — every entry into every competition is a decision you make, with the price shown before you pay.
  • There is no stored balance and no wallet, so there is nothing to top up.
  • You can ask us to close your account at any time by emailing support@premiershipsurvivor.com.

If competing stops being fun

Premiership Survivor is a football knowledge competition, not a gambling product, but any competition involving money can stop feeling like entertainment. If that happens, step away — and if you would like free, confidential advice about money and gambling-related harm, both of these organisations offer it in the UK:

  • National Gambling Helpline — 0808 8020 133, free and open 24 hours a day (gamcare.org.uk)
  • GamCare and BeGambleAware — free tools, self-assessment and one-to-one support

Tell us as well, at support@premiershipsurvivor.com. We will close your account and block future entries on request, with no questions asked.
